Presenting at Philly.NET Code Camp 2010.1!

Monday, 5 April 2010 13:21 by Michael Mukalian

Just when I'm going to get the ball rolling, crazy things like work get in the way.  So, after much scrambling, here's hoping to being back on track with my blogging, and what better way to start off than to say "Hey, come on out to Philly.NET's Code Camp 2010.1!"  Code Camp, run by the Philly.NET User Group is a gathering of geeks for all things .NET (and a few tracks of ALT.NET) run a couple times a year.

Code Camp is an excellent opportunity to network with 500+ of philly's finest developers, consultants, and IT decision makers.  It will be held at the DeVry University campus in Fort Washington, PA on Saturday, April 10 from 8:30-5:00.  I will be doing a track on SharePoint 2010 Feature Development with Visual Studio 2010.  It'll go over the changes since VS 2008, and how it's much more streamlined, with demos/walkthroughs.

Philly.NET's Code Camps are entirely free events.  Below are just a couple of details about it:

  • Lots of code, just say no to slides!
  • 8 hours of learning and networking
  • 60 sessions by 60 speakers (8:30, 10:00, 12:30, 2:00, 3:30)
  • 12 tracks (two recorded live by Microsoft MSDN)
  • 600 seats with tables (laptops welcome)
  • Breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack
  • Raffles and prizes at lunch and closing

So, if you feel like hanging out with a bunch of your fellow geeks, come on out!  It'll be a blast! - M
